  • Very handy pub location with friendly staff and good beer and cider and reasonably priced food. It is so typical of the best of English pubs that I urge anyone from abroad who wants to know why we love our pubs to stop here. Plenty of seats with umbrellas and an ancient attractive interior. The landlord really knows beer and ciders. Long live the British pub. Government take more care to preserve our heritage.
  • The Swan is a great pub - and in my opinion - the best in East Devon, being situated in the beautiful and historic estuary-side village of Lympstone. Real ale (Yellow Hammer and Otter with other guests) is always reliable and this summer they are featuring a huge array of ciders as well. Food is always well presented and very tasty. Currently they do a barbecue on Sundays, rather than roasts, but I hope the latter will come back come the autumn as the chefs know their way around a piece of roas... Read More
  • Visit mostly on a Sunday for The Swans lovely roast dinner and it never disappoints. Food is delicious, service to great and reasonably priced. Set in a nice location in the middle of the village with walks near by. The staff will always try and book you in if they can, it never seems a hassle to them. Only downfall is finding somewhere to park. There is a car park in the village you can use but you do need to pay.
  • Super pint of Otter ale, good service at the table and a big plate of Sunday roast. The beef was cooked beautifully, and the cauliflower cheese was cooked just as I like it! A lovely pub to visit. Thank you.
